PPCP

I am planning to give food to the homeless with my group and how to deliver them. In my group are Peteli, Tyrepa, Kayde and Wardah.

So far i have learnt how to compose an email on persuading a teacher to let us do a mufti day whilst also holding a raffle to fundraise more money to support the homeless . (seen below)

Respected sir,

I am Tawhiri Kara from 10hy. I am writing this email to ask for . permission as part of passion projects to organise a mufti day on the 29th  November. This is to help raise fund for the homeless people This money will be given to the council to provide a shelter for homeless people or we can buy food products and make food for the homeless. We are looking forward to help the Homeless and hope you allow this to happen

Thank you for your time,
Tawhiri Kara

Our next step is also to ask food and hygiene producers to help us with our cause so we can not only help with a shelter but also produce and products that are needed.

$1,000,000 artwork "say no evil" says no more with the artwork being STOLEN!?!?!

Tawhiri kara is represented in the piece, the portrait can be seen from the front but it has been cropped so only half the face is visible. The hoodie is pulled up as if it was a mask this makes it harder to identify who is within the artwork. The positioning was put as if he is hiding n
Behind an object. There are distinct details in the hair with sharp Lines running through as if to cut you.

Tomorrow, when the war began. - questions for plot etc

  • How do you think this story will be written? In a way that cultivates the readers.
  • Why do you think the story is entitled as it is?
  • Where do you think the story will take place? Australia
  • What time period do you think the story is set in?

Consider the effect of the following choices-

  • How is the cover composed? (camera angle/shot type/framing)
  • How is lighting used? (brightness/mood/contrast)
  • How is text used? (font/size/language/positioning)
  • What symbolism is used? (objects/people/setting/colours)

Xploshinz L.O.L info game // app/game development

INTRODUCTION

Hi my name is Tāwhiri and for this term my group and I have been trying to develop a league of legends information game to reach an audience who wants to learn more about the game through their mobile device. Since my last blog post About this topic we have  gone a lot further but unfortunately due to absences we have not been able to produce a full game as of right now.

We were supposed to gather information on League of Legeneds characters and to make profiles for each of them, sadly only 2 of them were fully done but the outcome of those 2 was great.

REFLECTION

I have learnt that not all teams can work well together also have a better understanding on code.
I hope that if we have groups again that they will work better together.

The power of one Scene Breakdown.

In the film, The power of one directed by John Avildsen, Avildsen uses important techniques to create impact for the audience. I will be covering a few of these techniques from the following scene. PeeKay is strung up by Jaapie Botha and then hit in the head with a Slingshot. After which due to loud noises the headmaster comes and slaps Jaapie Botha and the face. Here are Some of The

An influential part of this scene is where Jaapie Botha stares at pk after he has been disciplined for his actions. The director used a close-up shot to show both Jaapie and PeeKays emotions with the entire situation. I feel Avildsen Used this technique to give the audience a sense of importance to this specific scene. This technique created an impact because it showed the relationship between PeeKay and Jaapie. Jaapie clearly burning with hatred blaming PeeKay for his misfortune, I feel this technique was used again during the confrontation between Geel Piet and Sergeant Borman before Geel Piets Death.

In the scene where the headmaster comes into the basement whilst pk is hung up John Avildsen uses great filming techniques to show the impact. One of these techniques is the diegetic sounds in the film, examples of this is when the German music is played while they hang pk up but also when the headmaster comes in and slaps Jaapie in the face. I feel Avildsen used this technique because it made the scene more intense. Making shock factor go up. This technique created an impact because it brought shock to the discipline given to Jaapie. This was also used in the scenes where PK is boxing throughout the movie but not intended for the same purpose.

Another technique Avildsen uses in this scene is low Camera angles to make it seem like Jaapie botha is towering over everybody whilst declaring his speech before stringing PeeKay up. John Avildsen used this technique to show Jaapie Botha sense of supremacy over PK and the English. I feel Avildsen used this because it can make you, as seeing this through PK, feel little compared to Jaapie. This technique created impact because it put you, as the viewer, in PKs shoes even more than you already were. Avildsen also uses this technique in the scene where PK confronts his fears of the elephant charging towards him.

In conclusion the film, The power of one, shows great film techniques and impacts audiences

Iqbals human rights of human rights were taken. All people are supposed to have the human right of freedom. This means that they have the right to live and say what they want. Iqbal was taken and locked in a carpet factory, Sometimes he was chained to the loom and sometimes he was put in the tomb. This shows how Iqbal lost his human right of freedom and another human right iqbal lost was the right to a education

4 UNBELIEVABLE THINGS YOU WONT BELIEVE ABOUT THIS GAME !?!?!?!? (ITS UNBELIEVABLE)

Hey guys back with another review, catch ya boy next week when we review your suggestions.

Inter land

REFLECTION

Personally I do not like the design or how the game runs but the concept is great.

My analysis on the game is that the first level along with the every other one does not run well on many devices making interpretation quite hard, Ideas for each level is something I've never really seen before than again never really looked. Concepts on the game are interesting and should be explored by you if you are into those type of games.

DNA EXTRACTION

Aim: To extract DNA from a banana
Materials: 1/2 peeled ripe banana                    1/2 cup hot water                   1 tsp salt                   1/2 tsp liquid dishwashing soap                    resealable zip-top bag                    very cold rubbing alcohol                     coffee filter                    narrow glass                    wooden stirrer

  1. Mush the banana in the resealable bag for about a minute until all the lumps are gone and it almost looks like pudding.
  2. Fill a cup with the hot water and salt.
  3. Pour the saltwater mix into the bag. Close the bag and very gently squeeze and move the saltwater and banana mush together. Do this for 30 to 45 seconds.
  4. Add the dishwashing soap into the bag and gently mix the contents. Try to avoid making too much foam.
  5. Place the coffee filter in a clear glass cup, securing the top of the filter around the lip of the cup.
  6. Pour the mix into the filter and let it sit until all of the liquid drips down into the cup.
  7. Remove and discard the used coffee filter.
  8. Tilt the glass and slowly add cold alcohol down the side of the cup. You want the alcohol to form a layer on top of the banana mix, staying separated, so be careful not to pour it too fast. Make a layer of alcohol that is 2.5-5cm (1-2in) thick.
  9. After the alcohol layer is set up, wait for eight minutes. You may see some bubbles and cloudy material moving around in the alcohol. This is the DNA pieces clumping together.
  10. Use the wooden stirrer to start poking the cloudy stuff in the alcohol layer. Spin the stirrer it in place to start gathering the cloudy stuff. When you are done, take a closer look at the stuff on the stirrer. You are looking at DNA!

Creative writing.

Reflection.

In the first week we learnt about haiku's and how to format them properly using seasonal writing themes for inspiration.

Once we finished that segment i practised writing in sensory language here is my example " I jumped out the car the hot concrete slams against my feet with every step, I view from a far the cool blue water by the wharf. I walk towards the platform the scent of sea water hits my nose alongside a gush of wind moving through my hair. I reach the platform jumping right in as i drop in the chilling water i hear the splash and the taste of salt hits my mouth."

As of late we are using metaphors and similes learning definitions and how to use them

AMAZING things you wont believe about CANVA!?!?!?!

AMAZING things you wont believe about CANVA!?!?!?

Intro

I am a Hornby high student and for Digital Tech we were tasked to use the tool CANVA  to create an info graphic on ergonomics, i found canva easy and simple to use.

Reflection

The array of templates are perfect for any poster/info graphic giving you all the tools you need to make it look amazing. The image libary that they have is decent but the premium ones are alot better. Using images for the project was simple enough just crop and place the image you like and that suits your topic. Options to add your on images as well can give a good way to brand and watermark your poster getting your name out there

Sources

All the sources for this blog post all come from CANVA And you should go use this site yourself.

Final thoughts.
