$1,000,000 artwork "say no evil" says no more with the artwork being STOLEN!?!?!

$1,000,000 artwork "say no evil" says no more with the artwork being STOLEN!?!?!

Tawhiri kara is represented in the piece, the portrait can be seen from the front but it has been cropped so only half the face is visible. The hoodie is pulled up as if it was a mask this makes it harder to identify who is within the artwork. The positioning was put as if he is hiding n
Behind an object. There are distinct details in the hair with sharp Lines running through as if to cut you.

Tomorrow, when the war began. - questions for plot etc

  • How do you think this story will be written? In a way that cultivates the readers.
  • Why do you think the story is entitled as it is?
  • Where do you think the story will take place? Australia
  • What time period do you think the story is set in?

Consider the effect of the following choices-

  • How is the cover composed? (camera angle/shot type/framing)
  • How is lighting used? (brightness/mood/contrast)
  • How is text used? (font/size/language/positioning)
  • What symbolism is used? (objects/people/setting/colours)

Xploshinz L.O.L info game // app/game development

INTRODUCTION

Hi my name is Tāwhiri and for this term my group and I have been trying to develop a league of legends information game to reach an audience who wants to learn more about the game through their mobile device. Since my last blog post About this topic we have  gone a lot further but unfortunately due to absences we have not been able to produce a full game as of right now.

We were supposed to gather information on League of Legeneds characters and to make profiles for each of them, sadly only 2 of them were fully done but the outcome of those 2 was great.

REFLECTION

I have learnt that not all teams can work well together also have a better understanding on code.
I hope that if we have groups again that they will work better together.

My digital visual collage of sorts.

The power of one Scene Breakdown.

In the film, The power of one directed by John Avildsen, Avildsen uses important techniques to create impact for the audience. I will be covering a few of these techniques from the following scene. PeeKay is strung up by Jaapie Botha and then hit in the head with a Slingshot. After which due to loud noises the headmaster comes and slaps Jaapie Botha and the face. Here are Some of The

An influential part of this scene is where Jaapie Botha stares at pk after he has been disciplined for his actions. The director used a close-up shot to show both Jaapie and PeeKays emotions with the entire situation. I feel Avildsen Used this technique to give the audience a sense of importance to this specific scene. This technique created an impact because it showed the relationship between PeeKay and Jaapie. Jaapie clearly burning with hatred blaming PeeKay for his misfortune, I feel this technique was used again during the confrontation between Geel Piet and Sergeant Borman before Geel Piets Death.

In the scene where the headmaster comes into the basement whilst pk is hung up John Avildsen uses great filming techniques to show the impact. One of these techniques is the diegetic sounds in the film, examples of this is when the German music is played while they hang pk up but also when the headmaster comes in and slaps Jaapie in the face. I feel Avildsen used this technique because it made the scene more intense. Making shock factor go up. This technique created an impact because it brought shock to the discipline given to Jaapie. This was also used in the scenes where PK is boxing throughout the movie but not intended for the same purpose.

Another technique Avildsen uses in this scene is low Camera angles to make it seem like Jaapie botha is towering over everybody whilst declaring his speech before stringing PeeKay up. John Avildsen used this technique to show Jaapie Botha sense of supremacy over PK and the English. I feel Avildsen used this because it can make you, as seeing this through PK, feel little compared to Jaapie. This technique created impact because it put you, as the viewer, in PKs shoes even more than you already were. Avildsen also uses this technique in the scene where PK confronts his fears of the elephant charging towards him.

In conclusion the film, The power of one, shows great film techniques and impacts audiences

Writing then and now

in ancient Egypt they wrote in vertical hieroglyphics but now we no longer write in pictures we use alphabet and write left to right also using different devices like pens, pencils, Phones and laptops even though they used to use minerals and water to create paint to write with.
